Since the very beginning of the hospital’s journey, SKM’s dental clinic has been a cornerstone of care—serving thousands each year with dedication and compassion. For over 25 years, Dr. Sybille Keller, now President of Dentists Without Borders, has led this initiative with unwavering commitment. Despite her many responsibilities, she continues to treat this project as a personal mission.
Working alongside a skilled Nepalese team—comprising a dentist and two highly trained assistants—the clinic provided care to 7,549 patients this year alone. Their work goes far beyond routine checkups: it’s about restoring dignity, relieving pain, and improving lives.
Dr. Keller’s impact extends well beyond the hospital walls. She regularly visits facilities for people with severe disabilities and conducts dental screenings and treatments in schools, ensuring that even the most vulnerable communities receive the care they deserve.
